Global Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and Women’s Economic Empowerment Advocate Laura Fote Announces the Official Launch of the L&B Hygiene Brand and L&B Tissues

L&B Concepts gained recognition during the COVID-19 crisis for leveraging its global logistics and manufacturing networks to supply PPE during a time of tremendous shortages in hygiene essentials, supporting underserved communities both nationally and abroad as well as institutions seeking responsibly sourced, high-quality supply options.

But the vision for L&B Tissues was born from something even deeper than crisis response.

One truth became clear to Laura Fote:

Hygiene is dignity.

Rather than simply distributing products, Laura decided to build a brand.

Global entrepreneur, philanthropist, and women’s economic empowerment advocate Laura Fote, Co-Founder of L&B Concepts and The Gatsby Foundation, believes that hygiene is dignity — the reason she is launching the L&B Hygiene Brand, featuring its elevated line of toilet paper, flushable wipes, and wellness essentials.

Through this initiative, Ms. Fote is bringing hospitality-grade quality and humanitarian purpose to everyday products.

Recent reports show that millions throughout the United States and around the world struggle with the increasing cost of paper products due to inflation, continued supply chain issues, and rising production costs.

In many parts of the world, toilet paper and other sanitation essentials are considered a luxury.

Bloomberg reports that globally, around 500 million people are suffering from surging costs of living, making items many of us take for granted — including toilet paper — negligible or non-existent in many communities.

Enter Laura Fote

Driven by her passion and desire to help remedy a serious worldwide problem, Ms. Fote becomes one of the few African-American women to develop, manufacture, and distribute a premium hygiene line of purpose-driven brands globally.

Through years of international engagement as an Export-Import professional and through her philanthropic work — including UN-recognized global humanitarian initiatives — Ms. Fote witnessed firsthand the disparities in access to basic hygiene essentials.

She decided to act.

With the launch of L&B Tissues and other wellness essentials, Laura Fote, together with the support of her husband Dr. Bertrand Fote, an emergency physician, is introducing products designed to serve both everyday consumers and under-resourced communities in need of basic sanitation necessities.


Global Humanitarian Vision

Ms. Fote expects to begin shipping products to under-resourced communities in the United States and abroad by Fall 2026.
